Description
This gorgeous, vintage, French-made machete was uncovered visiting one of our favorite French factories. Designed and made by the owner’s grandfather many decades ago it features a brass wire-wrapped handle for durability and a secure grip (it looks great to boot). Measuring 18 ½” long overall with a 13 ¾” stainless steel blade. It’s very well balanced in your hand.

"$39. 00 Great price for sure ! I did a little research on it estimate made in the 1960’s or 70’s Maxime Girard . Feels great in the hand . Spent maybe half hour to hour cleaning it up . Very nice thank you ."
"I have smaller hands and appreciate the size of this handle, it's overall heft. I think it will be easy for me to use."
"This machete is durable and cuts well. A great product. Cheaper models from other suppliers don’t last and are cheap."
"Handle a little loose. But nice and sharp."
"The handle is slightly loose. I also would prefer a larger handle for my hand, but that will vary person to person. The sheath is very well made. Overall a good deal if you catch it on sale like I did."
"The weight and size of the French Made Machete is easy to use…. I would recommend."
"A serious tool. Thick enough to get the job done; not wobbly."
"Nice product."
"Size and weight are fine, but I was hoping that it would be sharper than it is!"
"Nice machete for my collection. Much smaller than my other machete (s)! Hopefully it will sharpen well as it looks like good steel!"
